Hiring: Interim Funding Manager / Fundraising Contractor

3 days per week | 2–3 month contract | Starting 15th June 2026

21 hours per week, plus pension contribution.
£32,400 pro/rata for the short-term contract (grant writing).
£36,400 for the one-year contract with potential to extend hours and length of contract (fundraising and income generation manager).
Location: office-based in Bethnal Green, London, with flexible working hours.

About SEEAWA

SEEAWA is a by-and-for Southeast and East Asian women’s organisation supporting migrant and diaspora women and children across London. We provide culturally rooted, trauma-informed support around gender-based violence, migration, wellbeing, community leadership, and healing justice.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Interim Funding Manager / Fundraising Contractor to support a critical period of fundraising and bid development over the next 2–3 months.

This short-term role will focus primarily on coordinating and developing a high-quality application for a funding bid, alongside supporting additional funding applications and helping strengthen SEEAWA’s fundraising infrastructure. The role is intended as a stopgap position ahead of a potential longer-term 1-year fundraising contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead in government contracts bid and trays and foundation applications
  • Coordinate input and collaboration with partners and stakeholders for the application process.
  • Research and identify new funding opportunities aligned with SEEAWA’s strategic priorities.
  • Prepare and submit high-quality funding applications, proposals, and supporting documents.
  • Support the setup and development of SEEAWA’s CRM system to strengthen fundraising and donor management processes.
  • Work closely with SEEAWA leadership to align funding applications with organisational strategy and community needs.

Experience & Skills

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong written communication and bid-writing skills.
  • Demonstrable experience developing successful funding applications.
  • Experience writing government tenders or public sector funding applications (desirable).
  • Experience coordinating partnerships and external stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting CRM systems, fundraising databases, or operational systems.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a small team.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed, equity-centred, or community-led organisations is highly desirable.

  • Duration: 2–3 months

  • Working pattern: 3 days per week
  • Location: Hybrid / remote with occasional London meetings preferred
